SKATESTOPPERS® Form Integrated (F.I.) Series Skate Deterrent |
|||||||||
|
The FI series takes a revolutionary approach to skate deterrents. What
makes this patent pending part different is the way it is installed - this part is
integrated into the wall structure (for poured in place concrete only).
Anodized finish is protected during the installation by a orange rubberized
coating that is removed at completion of the project. Click here for
cut sheet OR see below for
complete instructional drawings. Note: If you are interested in insert products for pre-cast and stone products, click here for Insert Series. Installation is performed in one of two ways: Routed Notches: After your contractor builds the form and lays in the rebar structure, slots are cut into the face of the form (at approximately 36" intervals). The parts are inserted into the slots and secured temporarily to the form with a screw. The contractor then pours the concrete and trowels between parts. (Click for here for Routed Notch instruction set). Fir Strip Notches: The contractor builds the form 3/4" lower than the final height. Fir strips (3/4" thick) are then screwed to the top edge of the form (this brings the finishing height back to the prescribed level). The fir strips are cut into sections approximately 36" (or the pre-determined center distance for the parts) and parts are inserted between each end of the fir strip. The parts are inserted into the slots created by the fir strips and secured temporarily to the form with a screw. The contractor then pours the concrete and trowels between parts.
