SKATESTOPPERS® Insert Skate Deterrents |

|
A growing concern among designers has been the inability to integrate parts
in to the design of the wall. The "Insert" Line addresses this concern
by offering sleek looking designs that integrate our skate deterrent into the expansion
joints/grout lines of pre-cast concrete and stone walls. The parts below are production ready and serve as a guide for other options
that are available (custom parts are engineered in most cases for less than
$1000).

| Cast bronze "Mallory" skate deterrent fits a common granite and stone wall profile (90 degree block with 1/8" radius edge). Optional locking pins mechanically fix the part to the substrate. Blade thickness below surface is 1/4", then expands to blunted 1/2" for safety. Part requires 2" vertical and 10" horizontal clearance. |

| Designed in collaboration with Ellerbe Becket Architects (Minneapolis), the cast bronze skate deterrent is designed to be inserted into grout lines/expansion joints of granite block (or cast block) during the construction phase. Locking pins mechanically fix the part to the substrate. Blade thickness below surface is 1/4", then expands to blunted 3/8" for safety. Part requires 4" vertical and 4" horizontal clearance. |

| Designed in collaboration with Olin Partnership (Philadelphia, PA), this skate deterrent is designed to be inserted into saw cut granite (or other substrates). The part is epoxied into the cut at the base. The surface joint is grouted/caulked to match existing joints. Note: This part can be used in any wall greater than 12" (top wall dim). |

The surface joint is grouted/caulked to match existing joints. Unlike the part above, the part was designed in three lengths (1 foot, 2 feet, 4 feet), each fitting the width of different walls.
